Dear Mt Camp/Ride Staff Member,
Maureen sent out the following announcement earlier this week (in her weekly update to all pros);
“Mid-Season check ins. Everyone received an email about a mid-season check-in. The SRS Managers will touch base with all of the full-time staff in person and some part-time staff. If you have a desire to check in with your supervisor/manager about how the season is going for you, please contact them to make an appointment to do so.”
In Mt Camp/Ride work area we have 2 Supervisors, a Team leader, 20 FT staff and 62 PT staff.
I want to let everyone know we have an open door policy in our office.
Any time you have any; ideas, suggestions, concerns, questions, etc. we want to let you know we are happy to meet with you to discuss anything.
Unfortunately, I do not have time to meet, 1-on-1, with all 85 staff members. But, will be happy to make time to meet with anyone who would like to get together.
Some things we would discuss are;
How is your season going?
Do you have ideas that we want to consider for improvements (for this year or next)?
Is there anything bothering you that needs addressing?
Are you having a great/fun season, so far?
Are you being treated appropriately by Managers, Supervisors and fellow staff members?
Anything else (work related) you would like to discuss?
Let it be known that I have/will email/speak to anyone who I feel is not living up to job expectations.
If you do not hear from me, about any specific task, you are doing the job you were hired to do. And, in most all cases, doing a great job at that.
My general comment to some, is three areas to improve upon (and you know who you are…..and it is a small number);
1) Be on time; Each morning, at all line-ups and pick-ups.
2) Submit an accurate Time Card at the end of every day you work.
3) If you will be late or not able to make a scheduled day, email and/or call (extension 4400) ASAP, so we know.
We will continue to try and have a Trainer/Supervisor sit in on a class (or two) to see how great you are doing. And make any suggestions to improve on your teaching abilities.
We encourage new pros (or any pros) to continue to pursue avenues to be able to teach higher group levels (attend training, ask to go along with a higher level group for learning experience, attend PSIA/AASI events, etc.).
We have had more kids in the program, so far this season, than we have had since before Covid hit us.
With 1000’s of kids taking lessons, thus far, we have had very few complaints, about the quality and fun in the lessons. Well done.
Keep up the great work.
Thank you to all, for a super first half of the season.
Again, email me if you want to talk about anything, in person, 1-on-1. We will set up a day and time.
Stay well
