9:00am

  • Morning meeting on snow outside of Discovery Center. Lessons can be preassigned or assigned at meeting.

9:15-9:30 On Snow Welcome for AM and Full-Day Groups

Students are greeted and verbally assessed for level placement by select instructors. The supervisor will check in each student from the printed Yard Sheet and scan them into the lesson.

Any class assignment changes should be made with the assistance of a supervisor.

    9:30-11:30 On-Snow Activities

Build a lesson based on current abilities, interests and needs. Breaks should be taken as needed and guests should be encouraged to stay hydrated.

1:15-1:30 On Snow Welcome for PM Groups (integrate into existing full day groups when possible)

New students are greeted and verbally assessed for level placement by select instructors. Full Day students also meet up with their instructors.  The supervisor will check in each new student from the printed Yard Sheet and scan them into the lesson.

Any class assignment changes should be made with the assistance of a supervisor. This is a good time to shuffle/move any full day students and add PM students to existing groups.

    1:00-3:30 On-Snow Activities & Wrap-Up

Build a lesson based on current abilities, interests and needs. Breaks should be taken as needed and guests should be encouraged to stay hydrated.

Offer clear feedback to guests, detailing what the focus was for the day and how it was achieved. Answer questions as much as possible and direct guests towards their next lesson. Be sensitive to expectations.  Please do not tell them it is ok to ski/ride somewhere they have not been with you.  Best to say; “in the next lesson, we would go to *this trail*….”.
